HOW CAN WE HELP PREPARE STUDENTS FROM THE ARTS, CULTURE AND DESIGN FIELDS FOR A PROFESSIONAL LIFE?

- 5 WORKSHOPS FOR EDUCATORS AND EDUCATION PLANNERS

WHAT
5 one-day workshops during the autumn 2012. Each workshop is held in a different Nordic country. You are welcome to choose a workshop in a country other than your own.

WHY
A large number of students find it hard to establish a sustainable work life based on their artistic skills. Yet the arts, culture and design fields have a vast potential to contribute to society.

So

HOW do we provide the students with the best possible conditions to unleash their potential and skills after graduating?

AN ENTERPRISING MINDSET CAN BE NURTURED AND TRAINED

The workshops will provide an opportunity for us to share ideas and get inspiration from across the cultural fields. There are good examples of educational institutions that have adopted new and effective approaches and tools.

The workshop will focus on two themes:
- How can we nurture the students?
- How can we as educators and educational institutions inspire each other?

PARTICIPANT OUTCOME:
NETWORK – meet inspiring Nordic colleagues
STIMULATING EXAMPLES - from schools across the Nordic countries
TOOLS – for your teaching
IDEAS – for your own artistic and professional practice
